Video: Dennice Gayme Discusses the U.S. Power Grid

E²SHI Associate Dennice Gayme, assistant professor of mechanical engineering, envisions how the U.S. power system will change as more renewable energy is introduced into the grid. One possibility: People will use electric cars, but they may need to schedule how and when they power them.

Dr. Gayme is an investigator in Wind Integration Simulations Partnership for International Research and Education (WINDINSPIRE), an international partnership led by Johns Hopkins University to find solutions for making wind energy more efficient and reliable.

When there's a huge spill of solar energy, its just called a nice day.
