The Summer Institute in Environmental Health and Engineering is a training program that addresses key topics for environmental health practice and application. Courses are designed for students who are interested in learning more about environmental health science concepts and for practicing public health professionals with responsibilities for health, safety, and environmental matters in government agencies, non-government organizations, and industry.

Courses are offered in a short-term/intensive format, and are available for academic credit, but participants can choose to take courses not for credit (professional development) at 50% off the regular tuition rate. Most classes are held at the JHU East Baltimore campus.
